Important Announcement: The Association of Product Professionals is Closing

My name is Nick Coster, a long-time Product Professional and a Co-Founder of the Association of Product Professionals, and today I am writing to you with a heavy heart to share some unfortunate news.

You may have noticed that the events and updates from the Association of Product Professionals have become quite muted over the last few months.

After a period of careful consideration and evaluation, we have come to the difficult decision to close the doors on the Association of Product Professionals.

Thank You for Your Support as a Product Professional

First and foremost, I want to express our sincere appreciation for your support of the Association. The idea of a place for Product Professionals to call their own has always been a passion project for Adrienne Tan and myself.

We wanted it to be a place that would provide a global benchmark for what it means to be a Product Professional, open to members from all backgrounds and industries.

Unfortunately, despite our collective efforts, we have been unable to achieve the critical mass required for the association to become self-sustaining in the current market environment. We have explored various avenues, strategies, and opportunities to grow and strengthen our association, but no immediate solutions have been uncovered.

We want to thank you for believing in this idea, and for the dedication, time, and effort you have invested in making this Association a reality. Your commitment and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the contributions you have made.

The Future

We certainly hope that this is not the final chapter for an Association of Product Professionals, but it is the closing of this one.

If you have any questions about the closure of the Association please email us at support@productprofessionals.com

Why I Joined APP

In 2019 Adrienne Tan and I decided that it was finally time to bring together a profession that was confusing and ill defined to the outside world. A place where we could collectively forge a true and practical definition of what it meant to be a Product Professional. With this decision we kicked off the planning process to bring together our Professional Product friends that we had met in our travels with Brainmates, to combine the different perspectives and experiences that they had. I joined APP because my entire career has been dedicated to helping product people to come together, learn from each other, to leverage each others strengths and find the collective joy in the hard things that we do.
